Stephenville -- It took a great team effort by the Whitewright Tigers to offset the quickness of Red Oak Life School, but when the dust settled in this Region II-2A Semifinal contest, Whitewright had a four-point win, 49-45.

With Whitewright sophomore Tyrone Swoopes handling the ball and directing the Tiger offense much of the time, Red Oak Life had no answer for a 6' 4" guard who could jump out of the gym.

The Region II-2A Finals are set for 2:00 p.m. Saturday, March 3, with Whitewright squaring off against the winner of Brock and Marlin.

The winner advances to the UIL State Championship Tournament slated March 8-10 at Frank Erwin Center in Austin.
