Bonham -- The biggest annual celebration in historic downtown Bonham will be held Saturday, May 5.
That means motorcycles will be launching 35 feet into the air over the streets of downtown Bonham this Saturday.

Another crowd favorite, the Fireman's Rodeo pits area fire departments against each other in competitive events that showcase firefighting skills.
In 2011, it was the Leonard Fire Department heading home with the Traveling Ax and bragging rights for the year.

For fans of innovative mechanics and powerful machinery, the Garden Tractor Pull is back in 2012. The ladies and gentlemen will turn the keys at 3:00 p.m. and powerful engines will roar to life. The Garden Tractor Pull competition will be held on Old Ector Road.

Some of the roughest hombres that ever walked the streets of Bonham will wander into town to see what all the ruckus is and trouble will be brewing as Sons of Confederate Veterans and regional re-enactors shoot it out at 8:45 a.m., 11 a.m., 12:15 p.m.

For many spectators visiting historic downtown Bonham for Heritage Day, the highlight of the day is the Classic Car Show. Bright paint and polished chrome are a photographer's dream and South Main Street is always awash in brilliant colors.

This event also features cowboy poetry in the morning and music throughout much of the day. The Brandon Bush Band will take the stage at 7:00 p.m. to headline Heritage Day.
