Garrett Puyear picked up the win on the mound to move to 2-1 on the season. Puyear gave up 1 hit, walked none, and struck out 9. Billy Pilkinton pitched in relief, giving up no hits, no walks, and striking out 1.
Billy Pilkinton led the Tigers offensively finishing 4-5 with 3 RBIs. Cody Lambright, Bailey Burks, Slater Stone, and Timmy Jemison all finished 2-2. Other Tigers with a hit were Dylan McCarley, Ivey Ferron, Branden Stone, Hunter Cates, Alex Meyer, Wyatt Beezley, and Garrett Puyear.
The win gives Trenton a 13-4 season record and a 7-0 district record. Round two of district will begin Friday as Trenton hosts Blue Ridge at 1:00.
