City of McKinney administrative offices, City Hall, McKinney Municipal Courts, Recreational Facilities and the Hall Memorial Library will be closed on Monday, May 28. The John and Judy Gay Library is closed every Monday. Oak Hollow Golf Course and The Courts at Gabe Nesbitt Community Park tennis complex will be open during normal operating hours on the holiday.
The refuse and recycling collections will change for the holiday. There will be no pick-up on Monday, May 28. Pick-up will slide one day for the rest of the week. Monday’s pick up will be on Tuesday; Tuesday’s on Wednesday; Wednesday’s on Thursday; Thursday’s on Friday; and Friday’s on Saturday. In case of an emergency involving Public Works operations, please call 972-547-7530. For life-threatening emergencies, call 9-1-1.
This holiday weekend marks the first days of use for McKinney’s two outdoor public pools. The Old Settlers Aquatic Center features a shallow water leisure pool complete with an open flume slide, cascading water fall and more.
