Van Alstyne, Texas -- Charles Davis, 72 passed away Saturday, June 2, 2012 at The Medical Center of McKinney.  The family will receive friends at Scoggins Funeral Home Tuesday, June 5, 2012 from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.  Graveside services will be held Wednesday, June 6, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at Van Alstyne Cemetery with Rev. Billy Stockton officiating. 

Charles was born in Princeton, Texas on November 23, 1940, the son of Albert and Margie Craver Davis.  He was a retired General Contractor and served in the United States Navy and was a member of Cannon Baptist Church.  He married Donna Scarbrough July 10, 1972 in Atoka, Oklahoma.

Mr. Davis is survived by his wife Donna Davis, daughters; Kristi Rippy and husband, Robert, Amy Green and husband, Kevin, and Allison Davis-Burk.  Five grandchildren; Justin, Sydney, Kamy, Kindall, and Brooklynn, and soon to be great-granddaughter, Aubree.  Sisters; Jenny Cross and husband, Gary, and Tina Hall and husband Harold and longtime friends, Charles and Elizabeth Carter. 

He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers; Joel, Larry and Jackie.
