Kenneth Ray (K.C.) Caplinger went to be with his Lord and Savior on Wednesday, June 24, 2012 after a short but courageous battle with cancer. Kenneth was born in Sherman, Texas on February 22, 1941. He graduated from Bonham High School and served in the United States Army in Vietnam and Japan.

Kenneth retired from Texas Instruments after a 33-year career.  He served as mayor of Savoy, Texas in 1980 and was a member of the First Baptist Church in Savoy. He was a true outdoorsman and enjoyed many decades of fishing, camping, and hunting with his close friends and family.

He is survived by his loving wife Peggy Caplinger from Savoy, Texas, Daughters (Cindy Downs, Savoy), and (Candy Nelson, Bells), Sons (Kenneth Ray (Kenny) Caplinger JR, Denison), and (Randy & Bonnie Watson, Sherman), sister (Linda & Mike Ommart, Yukon OK), brother (Jimmy & Donna Caplinger, Tampa Bay Fl), Grandchildren Chad, Brittney, Kyle, Kole, Bryce, Austin, Autumn, Eric, Amber, and Chris, and 7 Great Grandchildren.

Kenneth was preceded in death by his father and mother (J.W. & Dorothy Caplinger), and sister (Raenell Hodges)

Family night will be Wednesday, June 27 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at the Mullican-Little Funeral Home on Hwy 56 in Bells TX. Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 28 at the First Baptist Church in Savoy TX.

Pallbearers will be Chad Downs, Kyle Caplinger, Kole Caplinger, Keeton Gorton, Bryce Watson and Brian Ommart.

Kenneth was a loving and caring husband, father, brother, grandfather and friend. We love you Boss and miss you with all our hearts.
