Honey Grove, Texas -- Funeral services for Mrs. Carlene Bearden, 89, of Honey Grove, Texas are scheduled for 10:30 a.m., Friday July 20, 2012 at Cooper-Sorrells Funeral Home Chapel in Honey Grove, with family visitation to be one hour prior to the service.  Dr. Ken Yates of First Baptist Church, Honey Grove will officiate. 

Serving as pallbearers are Doug Stroud, George Thurman, Johnny Smith, Bobby Joyce, Bob Milford and Fred Fore. 

Mrs. Bearden passed away July 16, 2012 at Arlington Memorial Hospital in Arlington, TX.

Carlene Bearden was born May 1, 1923 in Tigertown, Texas to Brantly Eugene Green and Katy Elizabeth (Francis) Green.  She married Glen Aubrey Bearden on June 28, 1940 in Lamesa, Texas.  He preceded her in death on October, 17, 1998.  She was a wife, a mother, a grandmother, a great grandmother, a sister, an aunt, a friend and a neighbor. 

Carlene was a homemaker who loved to garden, play cards and was devoted to her church.  She shared her life with each of us through her kindness and love.

Mrs. Bearden is survived by daughter Glynda Winters and husband Jeff of Arlington, daughter Sandy Stuart and husband Joe of Honey Grove, Dale Bearden and wife Joan of Arlington, brother C.B. Green and wife Norma of McAllen, TX, sister Billie Glosup and husband Joe of Weatherford, TX and sister June Reeves of Odessa, TX.  She is further survived by grandchildren Lori Haxel, Jason Bearden, Andra Bearden Scott Stuart, Keith Stuart, Jeff Winters II and 8 great grandchildren.
