Farmersville -- Sixteen high school volleyball teams rolled into Farmersville early Saturday morning to compete in the 2012 Farmersville Volleyball Tournament and by sunset only the Sherman Lady Cats and the Mount Pleasant Lady Tigers were still in contention for the championship trophy.

Sherman took the opener, 25-12, as the finals got underway.  Mount Pleasant evened up the match with a 25-18 victory in the second set. 

In the two-out-of-three format, the next game would decide which team left town with the big trophy.

Mount Pleasant jumped out to a 3-0 lead and held the advantage throughout the final set to post a 25-16 win and claim the tournament title.
