Bonham powerlifters take third in Decatur Invitational

The Bonham powerlifting team started the season in style by bringing home a third place tropy from the Decatur Invitational.  The Decatur squad won the meet, followed by Mineral Wells, Bonham, Sanger, Nocona, Little Elm, McKinney North, Celina, Pilot Point, Olney, Lake Dallas, Bridgeport, Jacksonboro and Boyd. 

The Bonham powerlifters, under the direction of head coach Randall Dills and assistant coach Andy Gutierrez, had two athletes win their weight class.  Adam Deas, a Bonham junior, edged Juan Ramirez of Mineral Wells to win the 114 lbs. weight class and BHS senior Robert McCormack finished ahead of Celina's Gabe Gutierrez to win the 275 lbs. weight class.

Bonham's Chad Horton, competing in the 132 lbs. weight class, placed third.   Dillon Caylor (220 lbs.) also placed third.  The Warriors had two fifth place lifters, Kiel Stidham (198 lbs.) and Micah Hilliard (242 lbs.).  Mason Adams (220 lbs.) and Nathan Gibbs (181 lbs.) each placed ninth for Bonham.  Chris Bridenthal placed 11th (165 lbs.), Zack Barton came in 15th (243 lbs.) and Adam Caylor placed 22nd (181 lbs.).
