Dia de los Muertos is a time when the remembrance of family, friends, and life are celebrated. The observance of Dia de los Muertos dates from pre-Columbian times. The celebration is also referred to as Day of the Dead because two important days November 1 All Saints’ Day and November 2 All Souls’ Day ceremoniously and festively honors those who have died.
In downtown Denison, activities have been planned for all day on Saturday, November 3 and Sunday, November 4 in celebration of Dia de los Muertos and Art Walk.
