Ector -- A big, physical Chisum Mustangs team fell victim to the Ector Eagles in the finals of the 2012 Ector Holiday Tournament.

Chisum led 16-9 after the opening period, but Ector pulled even at 27-27 at intermission. By the end of the third period, Ector was on top, 48-44.  These two competitive teams were neck-and-neck down the stretch until tournament MVP Cody Kennedy drained three triples to fuel a late scoring burst that gave Ector an exciting 71-64 win.

Along with Kennedy's outstanding 23-point performance, Ector's Jimmy Ford put up 22 points, PJ Connelly finished with 15 points, Bradlee Coldiron scored six, Ryan Glaser had three points and Trent Jones chipped in two points.

For Chisum, Pecos Hurley scored 17, Ryan Poole put up 16 points and Trent Evans dropped in a dozen points.
