Savoy High School junior Riley Neal was elected Texas State Beta President at the Texas Beta Club convention this past Saturday in Austin, Texas.  Riley competed against representatives from schools across the state to win the honor to serve as President of the club for the 2013-2014 school year.

Riley and the Savoy Beta Club will advance to National competition in Mobile Alabama in June to compete for the National Presidential office.

“Riley is an outstanding young man who represents the true spirit of Beta club.  He has excelled not only academically, but also locally through leadership and service to his community and school,” stated Mr Michael W. Smith, Savoy High School Principal and Texas Beta Council member.

Riley is the son of Brian and Meredith Neal of Savoy and the grandson of Patsy Neal of Luella and Suzanne Rackley of Van Alystine.
