Trenton Tigers open season with win

Trenton defeated Howe's sub-varsity team 12-8 Monday evening in the season opener. Trenton ended the game with 11 hits and 3 errors while Howe had 8 hits and 4 errors.

Billy Pilkinton got the win on the mound for the Tigers. Pilkinton went 4 innings, gave up 3 hits, 4 BB, 1 ER, and struck out 6. Ben Minter came on in relief. He went 2 innings, giving up 4 hits, 1 BB, and 2 ER. Dylan Huff pitched the final inning for the Tigers. Huff gave up 1 hit, 2 BB, and 0 ER while striking out 2.

Wyatt Beezley led the Tigers offensively, going 3-3 with a HR and 2 RBI's. Kever Wylie also had a good night at the plate going 2-3 with 3 RBI's. Other Tigers with hits include Billy Pilkinton, Hunter Cates, Cody Lambright, Dylan Huff, and Craig Hill.

The Tigers are 1-0 on the season and will be back in action Thursday in the 4th annual Trenton Tournament.
