Bonham -- The Bonham Warriors and the Pottsboro Cardinals battled for three scoreless innings before the Cardinals pulled away for a 7-0 win in a warm-up game played Monday.

It was a pitcher's duel for the first three innings as Pottsboro right-hander Mikey Wade and Bonham sophomore southpaw Kendall Kennedy baffled batters.

Pottsboro got on the board when Justin Lawyer drove in a run in the top of the fourth frame.  The Cardinals took control of the contest by scoring five runs in the top of the fifth to go up 6-0.

Pottsboro tacked on a run in the sixth stanza to pick up a 7-0 win on the road.

The Bonham Warriors will be back in action 7:00 p.m. Friday, May 3 in a bi-district game against Wilmer Hutchins at Higgins Field.

Pottsboro will travel to Trenton on Friday to tangle with the Tigers in a contest scheduled to begin at 1:00 p.m.
