If last Tuesday night's score of the boys 7-on-7 Flag Football league is an indication of things to come then Bonham football fans have a lot to look forward to.  The Bonham boys ranging in age from 10 to 12 posted an impressive 34 to 12 victory over the Lovejoy Wild Dawgz in McKinney Sports Connections (MSC) 4/5/6 grade Championship.  Prior to their stunning defeat to the Warriors the Lovejoy coaches and team had posted an impressive 120 and 9 record with annual trips to Championships in multiple leagues.

Bonham’s journey began in early March with admission into the MSC “All Pass” 7-on-7 Spring Flag Football league.  The 11 players and 4 coaches had to navigate a league comprised of North Dallas teams from McKinney, Plano, Lovejoy and Frisco.  When the 2013 regular season had ended the Warriors had posted a 5 and 2 record, and a third place seeding in the single elimination post-season tournament.  After two hard fought playoff victories against two very impressive teams the stage was set for the Warriors 34 to 12 victory and their first league Championship!

Coaches and parents alike are very proud of this group of player’s discipline, work ethic, and the way they represented the Bonham and Texoma area throughout the season.

This year's Championship team include:  Aidan Andrew, Dillon Jones, Cameron Jones, Jayden Lehde, Landon Nelson, Lake Orsak, Dylan Porter, Noah Shellman, Aidan Straub, Brant Stuber, and Josh Upke.

Front row: Landon Nelson, Brant Stuber, Lake Orsak, Aiden Straub, Dillon Jones & Jayden Lehde. Back row: Gene McGill, Ken Porter, Dylan Porter, Cameron Jones, Josh Upke, Noah Shellman, Matt Andrew, Aidan Andrew & Todd Orsak.

They were coached by Todd Orsak, Ken Porter, Matt Andrew, Jeremy Jones, and Gene McGill.

Great job boys!  We look forward to the years to come!
