Leading 22-8 at halftime, Bonham's 7th grade football team started the year off with a win over the Pottsboro Cardinals 36-22. Quarterback Tyler Rodriguez threw for one touchdown and ran for another, while tailback Hayden Stephenson had two rushing touchdowns and one receiving.

Down 14-0 at half, costly turnovers led to a 28-0 loss for the 8th grade against Pottsboro.

The Indians will play next Thursday September 19 at home against Whitesboro with games starting at 5:00 p.m.
