Fannin County Sheriff Donnie Foster presented the program at a recent Bonham Rotary meeting. Chief Deputy James Woods attended the meeting too. Foster began on a serious note by reviewing the long list of men who have died in the line of service at the Fannin County Sheriff Office. On January 7, the Sheriff's Office held a memorial service for all of those who have been lost in the line of duty. Foster also fondly remembered Deputy Wayne Walker who passed away after working a shift last year. Foster also pointed out that although law enforcement work can be very serious and sometimes deadly, there is also a lighter side to the job. He shared several funny stories of situations encountered by law enforcement.
