Bonham, Texas -- Funeral services for Susan Gay Avery, 58, of Telephone, Texas will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, February 7, 2014 at Cooper-Sorrells Funeral Home in Bonham, Texas.  Bro. Ricky Grandstaff will officiate the services with interment following at Ravenna Cemetery. Mrs. Avery passed away on Monday, February 3, 2014 at Texoma Medical Center in Denison, Texas.

Susan Gay (Adams) Avery was born on December 21, 1955 in Limestone, Maine to Percy and Juanita (Walker) Adams. She worked several years at Safeway before working at VPG as a clerk. Susan was a member of Ravenna Baptist Church.

Susan Gay Avery is survived by her parents, Percy and Juanita Adams of Ravenna, TX; sister, Sharon Cook of Seagoville, TX; twin sister, Sandra Ferguson and husband Phillip of Ravenna, TX; nieces and nephews, Chad and Cary Cook; Justin and Matt Ferguson, Cody Adams, Karla Adams, and Tami Caraway. She is preceded in death by her brother, Ronald “Red” Adams, brother-in-law, Charles Cook; and sister-in-law, Barbara Adams.

Serving as pallbearers will be Chad Cook, Cary Cook, Justin Ferguson, Matt Ferguson, Cody Adams, and Travis Caraway.

Family visitation will be held on Thursday, February 6, 2014 at Cooper-Sorrells Funeral Home in Bonham, Texas from 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.
