Bonham, Texas -- Funeral services for Freddy Wilson Hayes, 76, of Bonham, Texas will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 23, 2014 at Cooper-Sorrells Funeral Home Chapel in Bonham, Texas. Rev. Morgan Malone will officiate the service; interment will follow at Randolph-Lindsey Cemetery. Mr. Hayes passed away on Thursday, March 20, 2014 at his home.
Freddy Wilson Hayes was born in Randolph, TX on July 17, 1937 to Woodrow Wilson and Wendel (Shelley) Hayes. Freddy married Marlene (Hanes) Hayes on February 13, 1960 in Sandy Community. He owned and operated Hayes Auto Parts; he loved family, traveling, fishing, and his trike motorcycle. Freddy was known for his great sense of humor and attended First Baptist Church in Bonham.
Freddy Wilson Hayes is survived by his wife of 54 years Marlene (Hanes) Hayes; sons, Charles Glen Hayes and wife Danis, and Claude Lynn Hayes; daughter, Cynthia Hayes Pomales and husband Tony; grandchildren, Chris, Daniel, Augustus, and Gregory Hayes, Ashley and Briana Hayes, Stephanie Hall, Steven, Crista, Jesse, Jacob and Lauren Pomales; great-grandchildren, Devin Hayes, Zoie Quinn, Phoenix and Madelyn Hall and Dexter Pomales.
Serving as pallbearers will be Steven Pomales, Jesse Pomales, Jacob Pomales, Tony Pomales, Chris Hayes, and Daniel Hayes.
Family visitation will be held on Saturday, March 22, 2014 at Cooper-Sorrells Funeral Home in Bonham, TX from 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.
