The Dodd City Hornets will take on the Dawson Bulldogs in the area round of the state baseball playoffs beginning Friday at 7:30. 

The teams will meet on Tillery Field in Mesquite in a two-out-of-three series with game two set for Saturday at 2:00. 

Game three will follow, if needed.

Tillery Field is on the campus of West Mesquite High School which is located at 2500 Memorial Boulevard.
