Helen Snell, 78, of the Pleasant Hill Community went to her heavenly reward Saturday, July 26, 2014 at Paris Regional Medical Center in Paris, Texas.

Graveside  services and burial will be held 10:00 a.m.. Tuesday, July 29, 2014 at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Lamar County, Texas. Rev. Ken Sheppard-Mahaffey will officiate.

Pallbearers will be Ryan Rutherford, Riley Rutherford, Brad Snell, Scott Snell, Billy Mac Moreland and Gary Steffey.

Helen Juanita Snell was born to Myers & Vera CordeliaDewoody Kilpatrick, August 8, 1935 in Honey Grove, TX, She married Stanley Bert Snell, Jr., Jan. 11, 1954 in Indianola, MS;  and he preceded her in death Oct. 21, 2003. She was also preceded in death by her parents; brother, Bobby Ray Kilpatrick; sister, Nada Lee Sadler; and brother-in-law, J.W. Tharp. She was of the Baptist faith.

Helen was a homemaker and worked as a secretary for West Lamar CISD and Wise Products in Honey Grove during her working career.

Helen Snell is survived by her loving family; son, Ricky Snell & wife, Mary of the Pleasant Hill Community, TX; daughter, Beth White and husband, W.C. “Dub” of Kilgore, TX; grandchildren, Ryan Rutherford of Austin, TX; Riley Rutherford and wife, Diana of Austin, TX; Randi Rutherford of Kilgore, TX;  Brad Snell and wife, Cassi of Brookston, TX; and Scott Snell and wife, Jennifer of Paris, TX; six great-grandchildren, Emery, Emma, Ava, Cadriene, Braysen, and Reed; sister, Mary Wilson of Shreveport, LA; and brothers, James Kilpatrick and wife, Ofelia of Garland, TX; Sammy Kilpatrick and wife, Barbara of Bonham, TX; a sister-in-law, Sammy Jo Tharp of Los Cruces, NM; and nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday, July 28, 2014 at Cooper-Sorrells Funeral Home in Honey Grove, TX.
