McKinney -- Teams from as far away as Puerto Rico and Canada are competing with their U.S. counterparts at Al Alford Field in McKinney as the 16u AABC Mickey Mantle World Series gets underway Wednesday.

Match-ups for Wednesday include SGV Arsenal vs. Midland Tomahawks, Ontario Bluejays vs. Puerto Rico Tigers, Strike Zone vs. DBAT, and UC Lookouts vs. TCA Twins.

Frozen Ropes drew a bye and will face the winner of Midland Tomahawks/SGV Arsenal Thursday at 4:30 p.m.

The championship game will be either Saturday or Sunday, depending on how the brackets play out.
