On July 2, 2014, officers of the McKinney Police Department were notified of an outcry alleging that a teacher solicited to perform oral sex on the victim. At the time of the offense, the victim was a student of McKinney ISD and the suspect a teacher of McKinney ISD. Prior to the solicitation, the victim received inappropriate text messages and pictures from the suspect.
On September 16, 2014, McKinney Police detectives obtained an arrest warrant for Solicitation to Commit Sexual Assault of a Minor for Steven Kirk Anderson, a 32-year-old male. Judge Scott J. Becker of the 219th District Court, Collin County, Texas, signed the warrant, and set the bond at $35,000. The U.S. Marshals Lone Star Fugitive Task Force to include officers from Williamson County Sheriff’s Office, the Texas Attorney General’s Office, Texas Department of Criminal Justice-Office of Inspector General and U.S. Marshals Joint East Texas Fugitive Task Force executed this warrant on September 17, 2014. Anderson is currently being held at the Williamson County Jail in Georgetown, Texas.
During the course of the investigation, it was determined that the suspect currently worked for Pflugerville ISD. Both Pflugerville and McKinney ISD were notified of this arrest.
