Bonham, Texas -- Funeral services for Charles William McCarley, age 62, of Bonham, TX will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 21, 2014 at First Baptist Church, in Savoy, Texas. Bro. Bill Sessom will officiate, the service; interment with military honors will follow at Willow Wild Cemetery, Bonham, Texas. Mr. McCarley passed away on Friday, October 17, 2014 at Red River Regional Hospital in Bonham.

Charles William McCarley was born in Bonham, TX on August 17, 1952 to Herman Ray and Dorothy Jo (Willingham) McCarley. Charles married Connie Elaine (Armstrong) McCarley on July 16, 1983 in Savoy, TX. He served honorably in the United States Army, and worked at the Bonham Veterans Administration as a nurse’s aide and later retired from the pharmacy, and is of the Baptist faith. Charles was an outdoorsman; he enjoyed doing anything that pertained to being outside.

He is survived by wife—Connie Elaine McCarley of the home, Son-Jesse McCarley and wife Christina of Bonham, TX; son—Benjamin McCarley; daughter—Rebecca Ann McCarley; grandchildren—Camryn Nicole McCarley, Kadyn Laine McCarley, Justin Thomas Moody, and Jessica Renee McCarley; mother—Dorothy Jo McCarley; brother—James Herman McCarley of Orangeville, TX; sister-Dorothy Francis Easley and husband Greg of Sherman, TX.

He is preceded in death by father—Herman Ray McCarley, and sister-in-law—Phyllis June McCarley.

Serving as pallbearers will be Jesse McCarley, Lawerence Armstrong, James Henry McCarley, Michael Lee Easley, Michael Springer, Kaleb Springer, and Wyatt C. Springer.

Family visitation will be Monday, October 20, 2014 from 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. at Cooper-Sorrells Funeral Home in Bonham, Texas.
