Barbara Pope of Pottsboro, Texas was fishing the Red River arm of Lake Texoma with striper guide Chris Carey on December 4, 2014 when she hooked this 38.25-inch, 24.7-pound striper while fishing with a soft plastic bait.

While heavier striped bass have been caught in previous years at Texoma, this fish represents the largest striped bass submitted to the Oklahoma Lake Records Program since its inception in 2008.
