Dodd City -- The Dodd City Hornets improved their district 12-2A baseball record to 2-0 with a 12-4 win over Wolfe City on Tuesday.
At the plate, Dodd City seniors showed the way. Dakota Brown was 2 for 3 with a double, a home run, and three RBI. Hunter Vaught also drove home three with a single and a home run, while Tyler Dotson had a two-run single and reached base three times.
Brown also pitched three innings, striking out 5 and walking none. Dalton Underwood threw three innings in relief, striking out 8, walking one, and earning the win. Lane Hardy pitched a perfect seventh inning for the Hornets.
District action continues next Tuesday when the Hornets travel to Roxton.
