SHERMAN, TEXAS — The Austin College Department of Music hosts a trombone recital by Dr. Jeremy Marks in Craig Hall’s Recital Hall on Sunday, September 27, at 3:00 p.m. He will be accompanied by Dr. Kate Stubbs on the piano. The event is free and open to the public.
Dr. Marks, a member of the faculty at Southeastern Oklahoma State University and Blinn College, teaches low brass and a variety of core and elective classes.
He also serves as the Second Trombone of the Brazos Valley Symphony Orchestra and a member of the international award winning ensemble, the Northside Trombone Quartet.
Dr. Stubbs is a full-time faculty member at Southeastern Oklahoma State University, where she serves as a collaborative pianist and applied piano instructor.
Prior to joining SEOSU, she served as staff pianist at Bowling Green State University and worked with the Toledo Opera. She held a full teaching assistantship at the University of Texas at Austin during her doctoral study.
