The Fannindel Beta Clubs have had a busy start of the school year. In September several high school members volunteered at the Sam Rayburn Farming Heritage Day. Paula Moody 10, Tanner Boggess 11, Amber Childress 9, Elizabeth Chesson 9, and Dylan St. Clair, 12 helped make corn husk dolls and popped pop corn. This was their first time to volunteer at the event and look forward to returning next year.

On October 17, the Jr and Sr Beta clubs helped the Ladonia Chamber of Commerce make the annual Fall Festival a success. Many of the members assisted at the Fall Festival by helping set up and run the free games. The Beta clubs enjoy working closely with the Chamber of Commerce. This was the fourth year the Beta Clubs have helped with this free community event.

Brendan Morrow 12, Tanner Boggess 11, Paula Moody 10, Amber Childress & Elizabeth Chesson 9, attended the Beta Leadership Summit at the Great Wolf Lodge in Grapevine, TX October 29 & 30. They were challenged to create a service project to meet one of their community's needs. They attended leadership seasons where they learned to serve as leaders in their club and school. This event is hosted by the National Beta Club. Members who attended thank Mr. Robert Milton for giving them the opportunity to attend.
