Dodd City -- The Ector Junior High Eagles defeated Savoy in the semifinals and beat Roxton in the showcase game Saturday, February 6, in Dodd City to win the district tournament.
Led by Lalito Grijalva's 16 points and Austin Earl's 10 points, Ector put away Savoy, 63-14, to advance to the championship game.
In the district tournament finals, Ector doubled up on Roxton, 40-20, behind Nathan Essary's 12 points. In the title game, Austin Earl knocked down nine points, Alex Aranday scored six, Kyrin Beach finished with five points, Noel Cannaday put up four points, Lalito Grijalva and Garen Norwood each tossed in two points.
