Eric Shawn Bobo

Bonham, Texas -- Graveside services for Eric Shawn Bobo, 32, of Telephone, Texas will be at 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 10, 2016 at Duplex Cemetery. Family visitation will be prior to the service at Cooper-Sorrells Funeral Home from 3:30 – 4:30 p.m. with procession to Duplex Cemetery following. Bro. Steve Walker will officiate, and Connie Nichols will read the Eulogy. Mr. Bobo passed away on Thursday, April 7, 2016 at TMC Bonham Hospital.

Eric Shawn Bobo was born March 30, 1984 in Hurst, TX to James Samuel and Darlene (Edington) Bobo, Jr. of Telephone, TX. Eric was a graduate of Sam Rayburn High School class of 2001 and is a member of Duplex Baptist Church. He was a beloved son and brother.

Eric loved being a rodeo sidekick for his sister Stefanie and he helped watch over their livestock and helped keep the place and barn maintained, both while she was gone and at home. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, and spending time with his nieces and nephew. Eric would lend a hand to anyone that was in need.

He is survived by parents, James and Darlene Bobo, Jr. of Telephone, TX; grandmother, Dorothy Edington of Telephone, TX; sister, Stefanie Chaffin and husband Gerald of Elwood, TX; nieces, Harley Chaffin and Dixie Chaffin; nephew, Breyer Chaffin, aunt and uncle, Ronnie and Connie Himes of Grapevine, TX. He is preceded in death by grandfather, Thomas Edington; and grandparents, Patricia Foster and James Bobo, Sr.

Serving as pallbearers will be Dale Chaffin, Cody Gibbs, Richard Reimer, Corky Reimer, Colby Edwards, Dylan Jones, and Jimmy Murray.

Honorary pallbearers will be Gerald Chaffin, Breyer Chaffin, Matt Reimer, Stephen Himes, and Douglas Himes.
