Leonard -- The Leonard Tigers cruised past the Cooper Bulldogs in the opening round of the 56th Leonard Holiday Tournament.

The hometown Tigers built a double-digit lead in the first half and took a 28-18 lead into the locker room at halftime.

Leonard padded its lead by two points during the final two quarters, giving the Tigers a 47-35 victory.

Leonard advances to take on the winner of Celeste/Rains at 8:20 p.m. Wednesday.
