Celeste, Texas -- A funeral service for Mr. Rayfael Ellis Crane, 87, of Celeste is scheduled for 10:30 a.m. Saturday, December 31, 2016 at the Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Chapel in Leonard.  His son, David Crane, will officiate.  Burial will be in the Hogeye/Celeste Cemetery.  Family visitation will begin at 9:30 a.m. and the funeral service at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, December 31, 2016.

Mr. Crane was born December 2, 1929 in Griffin, Georgia.  His parents were Allerson Lonzo and Alice Ethel Humphreys Crane.  He married Wanda Marie Tuley August 18, 1949 in Garland.  He worked at Kraft Foods for 33 years prior to his retirement.  He honorably served his country during WWII as a member of the United States Army and he was a member of the Independent Baptist Church, as well as the Masonic Lodge.  He passed away Tuesday December 27, 2016 at the Clyde W. Cosper Texas State Veterans Home in Bonham.

He is survived by his sons and daughters-in-law:  David & Sandra Crane of San Antonio and Larry & Patricia Crane of Celeste; his son:  Charlie Crane of McKinney; his 12 grandchildren:  James Crane, Natalie Howe, April Crane, Nathan Crane, Justin Crane, Tim Crane, Cody Crane, Felicia Crane, Austin Crane, Carly Crane, Katy Crane and Cassidy Crane; his 2 great-grandchildren:  Caden Crane and Ayzelynn Crane; numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents and his wife, he was preceded in death by three sons, Ronald Crane, Gary Crane and Jeremy Crane.
