Bonham Lady Warriors fall to Princeton

Bonham -- The Princeton Lady Panthers opened up their District 11-4A campaign with a 35-point win at Bonham.

Bonham worked hard to stay close in the opening moments of the contest before Princeton opened up a 20-3 lead at the end of the first quarter. A 14-0 run by the streaking Lady Panthers gave Princeton a 34-3 advantage at halftime.

Princeton led 42-11 after three quarters and went on to pick up a 58-23 win on the road.

Bonham freshman Averi Reeves hit four three-pointers and finished tied for high-scoring honors with 13 points. Melanee Lewis and Emma Bounds both put up four points and Sidney Sewell tossed in two points.

Nia Crawford led Princeton with 13 points, Nakeitra Mack knocked down 12 points and Shelbi Cook scored 10.

Princeton will host Melissa on Friday, while the Bonham Lady Warriors travel to Celina as District 11-4A action continues.
