Texoma Household Hazardous Waste Collection Event set April 22

Bonham -- The 2017 Texoma Household Hazardous Waste Collection Event, sponsored by Texoma Council of Governments, will be held region-wide on Saturday, April 22, 2017, allowing people in Cooke, Fannin and Grayson counties an opportunity to dispose of their hazardous materials in a responsible manner.

This important collection event is a chance to properly dispose of paint, ink & toner cartridges, pesticides, batteries, aerosols, non-commercial auto tires, TVs, insecticides, motor oil, gasoline, and anything that runs on electricity.

No semi or tractor tires, please. Other restricted items which will not be accepted include ammunition, furniture, waste from businesses and contractors, infectious materials, municipal waste, and explosive materials.

In Cooke County, the collection site will be Cooke County Justice Center located at 300 County Road 451 in Gainesville, Texas.

In Fannin County, the collection site will be Precinct 4 County Warehouse located at 1369 East Sam Rayburn Drive in Bonham, Texas.

In Grayson County, the collection site will be Grayson College, 6101 Grayson Drive (FM 691) in Denison, Texas.

All restrictions/limits will be strictly enforced.
