DENTON COUNTY – Work is kicking off on a construction project on I-35E between Loop 288 and Mayhill Road. The project includes a new interchange for Brinker Road and I-35E, reconstruction of the Loop 288 and I-35E Interchange, interchange improvements at Mayhill Road and I-35E, widening of I-35E to six lanes, and reconstruction of the frontage roads. This 1.7 mile project is expected to be substantially complete by fall of 2018.

There will be several major traffic configuration changes and lane closures throughout the life of the project. The location is within the project limits of the ongoing I-35E design/build project being constructed by AGL.

OHL-USA is the prime contractor on the $28 million interchange.
