This Sunday, The SonShine Sisters, the interfaith dulcimer group from Whitesboro return to Red River Unitarian Universalist church with a special concert that has a simple message:  PEACE.

The group has compiled songs to remind us of one of humanity’s most precious gifts, peace.  Why sing of peace?  Because music is the voice of the human spirit.  It can go beyond language, beyond age, or race or gender or nationality, beyond religious or political differences.

Music goes straight to the heart, body and soul of all people.  Music is a powerful tool for reaching out, building connections and understanding, and raising consciousness.  All who enjoy music with a universal message are warmly invited to attend this special morning assembly.

Sunday mornings at Red River Unitarian Universalist Church, 515 North Burnett Ave in Denison include an hour of meditation at 9:00 a.m., , followed by the Adult Forum – currently exploring 2,000 years of Unitarian Universalist history – at 10:00 a.m.  The Morning Assembly is at 11:15 a.m. after which everyone enjoys fellowship with “Conversations and Calories.”
