Johnny Leon Moore

Leonard, Texas -- Funeral services for Mr. Johnny Leon Moore, Jr., 70, of Celeste are scheduled for Wednesday, March 22, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Chapel in Leonard. Rev. Richard Willingham will officiate. Burial will be in the Dulaney Cemetery with Military Funeral Honors.

Johnny was born June 22, 1946 in Dallas. His parents were Johnny Leon Moore, Sr. and Margaret Edith Harrison Moore. He worked as a sign fabricator, was a member of the Baptist Church, the VFW and the American Legion. He honorably served his country as a member of the United States Army. He passed away at his residence Saturday, March 18, 2017.

Johnny is survived by his children: Johnny Leon Moore, III, Cindy Thompson and husband, Shannon, of Russellville, Missouri and Ronnie Stubbs and wife Brandi of Holts Summit, Missouri; his six grandchildren: Ericka Thompson, Alex Thompson, Logan Thompson, Zachary Moore, Chason Easter and Shelby Bryan and his great-granddaughter, Kynlee Beene.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
