Butterfly Garden Walk
Saturday, April 15 and April 29, 2017, 10:00 a.m. – 1:00p.m.
Enjoy a stroll through the Butterfly Garden at HNWR, with docents on hand to help you identify the butterflies, native Texas plants, and the connections between them! Free, come and go or come and stay. Cameras are welcome! And - we have close-range binoculars for loan that help you really SEE the butterflies and other insect wildlife. PLUS - meet the ButterBike Lady! Part of a cycling group following the Monarch Migration, you can visit with her in her tent adjacent to the garden and hear her presentation on Monarchs and the ButterBike program in the visitor Center at 2 pm.
ButterBike Coming to Hagerman NWR April 15
Meet cyclist Sara Dykman who is following the Monarch migration! Learn about her 10,000 mile trip and the importance of Monarchs and Milkweed! Sara will be at the Butterfly Garden Walk,11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m., Saturday, April 15, and will give a presentation on ButterBike at 2:00 p.m. in the Visitor Center. Free, family friendly and no reservations needed.
