Bonham – Sexting. Cyberbullying. Online predators. None of those dangers even existed a generation ago, yet today parents must constantly wrestle with the influence and consequences of ever-present media that seems to know no boundaries.

Sunday, September 10 will be Northside Church of Christ's Annual Friends Day and this year's featured speaker, Delton McGuire, will tackle this subject with a very timely presentation, "Parenting in a Media-Filled World."

You and your family are invited to attend.

Mr. McGuire received a B.A. Mass Communication/Journalism from Oklahoma Christian University and his M.A. Communication from Stephen F. Austin State University.

He and his wife, Valerie, have worked with children and families in Christian child care and education for more than 26 years. McGuire's experiences include preaching ministry, therapeutic foster care, and teaching at the collegiate level.  In graduate school he specialized in media effects, which laid the foundation for these presentations.
