Online survey available through Sept. 29
McKINNEY, Texas (Aug. 28, 2017) – The McKinney Community Development Corporation (MCDC) is conducting a survey to gather input from citizens on priorities for quality of life amenities in McKinney. Residents are encouraged to visit the city’s website to complete the online survey by Sept. 29. The survey consists of 15 questions about creating and preserving open space, outdoor activities, recreational facilities, entertainment and dining options.
“It would be difficult to imagine McKinney without the various recreational facilities, beautiful parks, vibrant historic downtown and the abundant choices of cultural events and activities occurring throughout the year,” said Board Chair Kurt Kuehn. “This survey will help the MCDC Board of Directors determine what the public wants most when it comes to additional amenities we can provide in the community.”
MCDC works to enhance the quality of life for residents by using a half-cent sales tax, coined the “Quality of Life sales tax,” to support quality of life projects. Every time residents shop and dine in McKinney, sales tax revenue stays in the community to fund projects like parks and community centers, museums, special events.
