She was born on July 14, 1937 in Sherman, Texas the daughter of Robert and Irene Cantwell. Edna graduated from Sherman High School in 1955. She later married James O. Terflinger on July 5, 1963 in Sherman, Texas. He preceded her in death on July 2, 2011.

Edna was employed with GTE Telephone Company for about 25 years before her retirement. She also worked at School Zone Academy in Howe, Texas and Uptown Kids Daycare in Van Alstyne as a Teacher’s Aide, both totaling about 10 addition years after retirement. She absolutely loved working with kids. 

Edna is survived by her two children, Dennis Terflinger and Jeanie Terflinger, two grandchildren, Skyler Terflinger and wife Sidney and Nathan Terflinger , great grandchildren, Rylan Terflinger, Brooklynn Terflinger, Ryder Terflinger and Ella Harville. She is also survived by Ashley Harville, mother of great grandchildren, Ryder and Ella, one brother, Jerry Cantwell and wife Dorothy Jean, one sister, Dorothy Mulkey , sister in law, Shirley Cantwell and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband Jim Terflinger and brother Bob Cantwell. 

Edna was a loving, devoted and wonderful mother, grandmother, great grandmother and person to her family and friends. She loved working with daycare kids, shopping, Choctaw Casino but most of all she loved spending time with her family. 

Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, September 11, 2017 at the Van Alstyne Cemetery, with Rev. Mark Fletcher officiating. Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. to 9:50 a.m. prior to graveside service at Scoggins Funeral Home.
