McKinney: Pre-application meetings announced for Community Support Grants

McKINNEY, Texas (Sept. 12, 2017) – The City of McKinney announces the availability of FY 2017-18 funding under the Community Support Grant (CSG) program for eligible non-profit agencies and community organizations that serve residents of McKinney.

A pre-application meeting will be from 10—11 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 20, in the Dulaney Room of the Roy & Helen Hall Memorial Library, 101 E. Hunt St., for anyone interested in learning more about the application process. Following the meeting, the application and instructions will be available online at mckinneytexas.org/CommunitySupportGrants.

 Applications must be received by mail or hand-delivered no later than 4 p.m. Monday, Oct. 16 to the McKinney Housing & Community Development Department, 406 N. Tennessee St.

The CSG program allows the flexibility to apply for funding under the following priority of needs:

Grant funding is awarded based on service impact to the community, non-duplication of services with other agencies, other sources of agency funding, risk assessments, and presentation critique. Application must request a minimum of $3,000. Applicants may submit up to two separate requests. 

Presentations will be made before the Community Grants Advisory Commission (CGAC) at 6:30 p.m., Nov. 8 and Nov. 9 at John & Judy Gay Library, 6861 W. El Dorado Pkwy. City Council will conduct a public hearing Dec. 5 to consider funding recommendations from the CGAC.
