Butterfly Day at Hagerman National Wildlife Refuge (HNWR) is slated for Saturday, October 14, 10:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m.

Celebrate butterflies at Hagerman NWR with a full day of free, family-friendly activities, including:

--Guided Walks through HNWR’s beautiful butterfly garden, led by Garden Docents

--Monarch Butterfly Tagging Demonstrations (weather permitting)

--Storybook Walks Through the Forest

--Butterflies Under the Microscope

--Decorative Rock Painting Demonstrations

--Wildflower Seed Stomp/Trail Walks

--Butterfly Chalk Art

--Crafts for all ages, including: Butterfly Origami, Paint a Plaster Butterfly, Make a Butterfly Finger Puppet

--Presentations including: Growing Milkweed, Butterfly Facts, Gardening for Butterflies and Monarch Migration

--Native Plant Sale
