Wichita Falls Rider sweeps Sherman

Sherman -- The Wichita Falls Rider Lady Raiders moved to 9-1 in District 5-5A and retained a share of first place by defeating the Sherman Lady Cats in straight sets Tuesday night at Sherman High School.

The Lady Raiders posted wins of 25-19, 25-21 and 25-25 to earn the sweep.

After splitting head-to-head matches, Wichita Falls Rider and Denton Ryan are both sporting 9-1 records with two district contests remaining on the schedule.

Sherman is still in the hunt for a playoff berth with a 5-6 district mark.

The Lady Raiders will host Denton High and Wichita Falls to close out the regular season.
