Bellevue -- The Ector Lady Eagles are off to a 2-0 start after the Lady Eagles posted a nine-point win on the road Friday night.
Ector was on top 12-9 at the first buzzer and 25-14 at the half. Bellevue had the hot hand in the third period and whittled Ector's lead down to 36-33, but a strong finish gave the Lady Eagles a 45-36 victory.
Ector's Sunnie Bingham finished with 15 points to lead all scorers, Saakshi Pandey and Stormy Shockley both scored eight, while Destiny Whitburn and Montana Johnson each put up seven points.
For Bellevue, Trail and Morris both had 11 points, Berry scored six and Simpson tossed in five points.
Ector travels to Trenton on Tuesday. Games start at 4:30 p.m.
