Denton -- The Denison Yellow Jackets went into the fourth quarter with a 35-23 lead in their bi-district game against the Forth Worth Boswell Pioneers, but Boswell outscored Denison 16-0 in the final frame to rally for a 39-35 victory.
Denison led 14-7 after the first quarter and 21-13 at halftime. The Yellow Jackets stretched their lead to 35-23 at the end of the third quarter before Boswell added a safety and a touchdown in the fourth quarter to trim Denison's lead down to 35-32 with three minutes left to play.
Denison turned the ball over on a fumble at the Yellow Jacket's 23-yard line with less than a minute showing on the clock and the Pioneers capitalized with a touchdown pass that gave Boswell a 39-35 victory.
Denison wraps up an exciting season with an 8-3 record.
Boswell advances to face Richland in the area round.
