Leonard -- In the second round of the 57th Leonard Holiday Tournament, the Caddo Mills Foxes defeated the Bonham Warriors, 62-35.
Bonham struck first when Izaiah Epps hit a three-pointer and a pair of free throws by Tyler Rodriguez gave the Warriors a 5-0 lead.
Peyton Hammons hit a triple from the corner to get Caddo Mills on the scoreboard and the Foxes went on to take the lead, 15-13, at the end of the opening period.
With Roberto Herrera knocking down a pair of three-pointers, Caddo Mills took a 29-20 lead at halftime.
Bonham opened the third period with a 10-4 run to get within three points of the lead at 33-30 before Caddo Mills responded with a 19-2 run to take control to the contest. The Foxes would post a 17-point victory, 62-35.
Izaiah Epps, Wyatt Dolberry and Tyler Rodriguez all finished with nine points to pace the Bonham offense. Brandon Dona put up four points and Josh Upke had three points.
Caddo Mills senior Colten Stringer and freshman teammate Savion Neal led all scorers with 14 points apiece.
Caddo Mills went on to beat Pottsboro, 59-55, to advance to the tournament finals to face the winner of Celeste/Rains.
Bonham will play Leonard at 9:20 a.m. Friday for a shot at fifth place.
