Anna, Texas -- Mrs. Laura Jane (Bryant) Collins  died peacefully at home on February 9th 2018 in Anna, Texas at the age of 77.

Laura is survived by her husband Samuel Collins of Anna, Texas; two sons, Mr. and Mrs. James Collins of Arlington, Texas and Mr. and Mrs. Derek Collins of Allen, Texas; her daughter, Dana Northcutt of Anna, Texas; and her four grandchildren, David, Jerry, Laurel and Maxwell. Laura is preceded in death by her mother and father, Alta B. and James Bryant of Anna, Texas.

Laura Jane Bryant was born on December 23, 1940 in Anna, Texas to Mr. and Mrs. James Bryant of Anna, Texas. Laura graduated from Anna High School in 1959. Laura married Samuel H. Collins on September 1 1962. Laura was a member of First Christian Church of Anna Texas. She was also a member of the Anna Historical society.

A viewing is scheduled for February 13, 2018 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Scoggins Funeral Home, located at 637 Van Alstyne Parkway in Van Alstyne, TX 75495.

Pastor Scott Harkless from First Christian Church of Anna will officiate the graveside services 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 14, 2018 at the Van Alstyne Cemetery. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Laura’s life. Flowers and condolences may be sent to Scoggins Funeral Home.
