Bonham, Texas -- Kathy (Wisdom) Anderson, 58, left this life for another one on Friday, February 9, 2018 at WNJ Hospital in Sherman. At her bedside, was her life-partner Tim Hickman, and cousin, Betty Goldsmith. She courageously and valiantly fought her illnesses for many years. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Cooper-Sorrells Funeral Home Bonham, Texas.
Kathy was born in the Sulphur Springs area on November 3, 1959 to Bobbie D. and Ruth Wisdom and was raised by her grandmother, Miley Hatch Wisdom. Kathy worked in dairy farms during her early life. She later worked for A.K. Gillis on road crews as a heavy equipment operator where she met Tim 19 years ago. Kathy was a hardworking and loyal 18 year member of the American Legion Auxiliary where she had worked over 1700 hours at the Bonham, VA as a volunteer.
She was past President of the American Legion Auxiliary Unit 283, many times and Past District President for the Fourth District American Legion Auxiliary Department of Texas.
She is survived by her life-partner, Tim Hickman, his two daughters, Shannon Piland and Valerie Hickman and cousin Betty Goldsmith as well as her entire American Legion Family.
In lieu of flowers and cards, she had asked that donations be made to the American Legion Auxiliary, Unit 283 in Bonham, Texas so they may continue their work in her name.
