The Ector Lady Eagles came home Monday night with a bi-district championship after a tough three-point win over Forestburg.

Basketball fans certainly got their money's worth in this seesaw battle that had the teams tied 17-17 at halftime and 29-29 going into the fourth quarter.

The Lady Eagles outscored Forestburg, 12-9, in the final frame to earn an exciting 41-38 victory in bi-district.

Destiny Whitburn led Ector with 20 points, Sunnie Bingham knocked down nine points, Montana Johnson put up eight points, with Saakshi Pandey and Stormy Shockley both scoring two points.

Forestburg had two players in double digits. Britain led all scorers with 24 points and Smelser scored 14.

The Ector Lady Eagles will face Saltillo in the area round. When and where are still to be determined.
